Kong Slots Game Release

10 May 2011

Australia (10th May 2011) – Grand Reef Online Casino recently announced the launch of the new pokie game, Kong. The game is currently available through the downloadable casino client but there is not yet information on a flash version of the game being offered at Grand Reef.

The newly released casino game has quickly become a favourite amongst both novice and seasoned gamblers. The game features scenes and sounds from the movie and the three starring characters in this blockbuster hit are the three starring characters in the game. Kong is as wild in the game as he was in the movie. The game features intense bonus rounds and plenty of free spins.

The Playtech powered casino celebrated the launch of this new game on their software by running a six-day long promotion which was open to all their clients. The casino gave away free bonuses and Blu Ray DVD’s to entice players to play. The promotion saw record numbers register at the casino and it appears that the success of this promotion will assist Grand Reef in re-aligning their promotions to ensure that their players get the best entertainment value when they play at the casino.

“It’s amazing. So many people participated and we got such wonderful feedback. Going forward, promotions will be geared towards what our players want, and not just what we think will work”, says Casino Manager, Mel Taylor. “ I just love all the new games coming out. The Kong movie was such a hit, I’m hoping the game will follow the trend. Based on what our players have seen so far, I can only say ‘watch this space’!”

Rand Logic Gaming Purchases Additional Brands

1 May 2011

Curacao, Netherland Antilles (1st May 2011) – Rand Logic Gaming has confirmed their purchase of African Palace Casino and Indio Casino from First Grand Gaming N.V. With immediate effect, all the casinos management and marketing initiatives will now be amalgamated into the Rand Logic Gaming business and support agencies.

In August 2010, First Grand Gaming confirmed that they would be exiting the South African market due to questions surrounding the legality of online gambling in South Africa. Both African Palace Casino and Indio Casino were well established brands in South Africa and dominated a large proportion of the online gambling market in the country. On the back of a decision made by a South African High Court, First Grand Gaming N.V. withdrew both products from the market with immediate effect.

Rand Logic Gaming, a Curacao based company, owns and operates the highly successful Grand Reef Online Casino. The casino focuses on Australia, New Zealand and Canada and is powered by Playtech software. A spokesperson for Rand Logic Gaming has confirmed that the company intends to re-launch the brands African Palace Casino and Indio Casino into the international arena. While specific markets of focus are yet to be determined, there is a strong indication that Indio Casino will be re-launched into the Indian market by mid-2011. Marketing plans around African Palace Casino are due to be communicated to the group towards the end of 2011.

The Rand Logic spokesperson, Sally McCreedy, further commented: “We are thrilled to add African Palace and Indio to our portfolio. Both brands have such great potential and we are excited to see what the future holds for them. We intend to re-launch these brands with specific market focuses and build them to be household names in their selected jurisdictions. We’re sure that with the experienced management team within the Rand Logic staple, these businesses are sure to take their place amongst the top casinos online.”

Online Casino Donating to Flood Relief Appeal

7 January 2011

Queensland, Australia (7th January 2011) – Following the devastating floods that have hit Queensland and other parts of Australia, Grand Reef Online Casino is appealing to their customers to support  the News Limited and Channel 9’s “Flood Relief Appeal: Australia Unites” cause.

The Flood Relief Appeal was launched by News Limited and Channel 9 in an effort to raise funds for those affected by the floods that are currently affecting many parts of Australia. Although the casino has not joined forces with News Limited or Channel 9, they have notified all their customers of their pledge to donate to the appeal.

Casino Manager, Mel Taylor, is driving the project and says the following: “The Floods have left tens of thousands homeless and the rains have been the worst recorded in over 50 years. Damage to the infrastructure of the State has been huge and many people are destitute and have lost their homes. If we can raise just a fraction of the money required to rebuild those areas worse hit, we would have achieved a small miracle. To support this worthy cause Grand Reef will donate 5% of all deposits made in the casino on Wednesday 12th January 2011 and Thursday 13th January 2011 to the fund raising efforts.” Taylor added, “We’re giving our players a chance to do something grand while doing something they enjoy. They will be making a difference by simply doing what they do every day and I’m confident that our players will support this cause.”

Talks of African Palace Casino and Indio Casino Sale Confirmed

3 September 2010

Curacao, Netherland Antilles (3rd September 2010) – The owners of First Grand Gaming N.V. have confirmed the rumors of their pending exit from the South African market. First Grand Gaming N.V. (licensed in the Netherland Antilles) operates two online casinos: African Palace Casino and Indio Casino. Both casinos have built brands and marketing initiatives predominantly in the South African market.

Due to a recent South African High Court decision which declared online gambling in South Africa to be illegal, First Grand Gaming N.V. has decided to exit the South African market entirely.

The spokesperson for First Grand Gaming N.V. has confirmed that discussions are underway with various international buyers and that a sale of the brands and customer base may be imminent. Kiara Miller, Marketing and PR Manager for African Palace Casino and Indio Casino, says the following about their decision: “We’ve operated these casinos since late 2004 and have seen great success in the years that we’ve been operating in South Africa. Whilst we do not agree with the recent court decision, we believe that it is likely to be confirmed on appeal and therefore preclude future activity. The sale discussions will allow the brands to continue to trade and the potential purchasers fully intend to re-launch the brands into the international arena.”

Companies are invited to contact First Grand Gaming N.V. directly for further information.
